Past

Mihovil's father was a green dragon known to be quite the player, and his mother was a black dragon whom was just another notch on his belt, at least that what most will claim. However, if you ask his mother she will say that their relationship was a mutually beneficial one. She knew his reputation and had no deluded fantasy that she would be the one he would settle down with. In fact, she had started her fling with him in hope that a certain aspect of his reputation proved to be true.It is said that every woman that his father slept with ended up with child. She wanted nothing more than to be a mother, but every effort she made to get with child failed. Mihovil's mother figured she had nothing to lose by attempting to figure out if this particular aspect of his father's reputation was true, and it was. She found herself with child, and true to his reputation Mihovil's father moved on to his next conquest.

This suited his mother just fine. No, it was more than fine. She actually wished to raise her child alone. However, that would not happen. There are those whom might claim she should have been prepared for the possibility. After all, dragons born of two different types tended to take after one of their parents and there was a fifty-fifty chance her child would take after the father. Truth was, she had been prepared for this possibility. She even read up on green dragons and even hired a green dragon to teach her child how to use his power if he was born a green dragon like his father. However, Mihovil would take after neither of his parents. He was a silver dragon, and his mother was bewildered by this. There were no evidence of a silver dragon being anywhere within either hers or Mihovil's father's bloodline. He shouldn't be one.

There were those whom tried to claim his father wasn't whom she thought, but that wasn't true. She knew exactly whom his father was. She did intensive look into his genetics, and made sure that he was the only one she slept with while attempting to see if he could get her with child. Yet, no matter how impossible her son being a silver dragon should have been there was no denying that he was. His mother not to dwell on things for long turned her attention on what was best for her child. She had not done any research on silver dragons nor had she hired a silver dragon to help teach Mihovil how to use his power as he grew. She could easily do those things, but for one reason or another she decided that it might be best that her child was raised among the silver dragons. With a heavy heart and the realization if Mihovil had been born a green dragon she would have made the same decision, she handed her child over to the silver dragons,

Mihovil's childhood was a happy one. He grew up very aware of his circumstance, and while he wanted nothing more than to live with his mother he understand why he couldn't. However, his mother came to see him often, and pushed him to excel at his training. Truth was she was proud of Mihovil simply for being her son, but she never told him this. She wanted him to be the best he could be and she believed that if she gave him any inkling that his mere existence was enough that he would not push himself to achieve what he was truly capable of. This tactic worked because while Mihovil didn't have the natural raw talent that some of the other silver dragons possessed, but he proved that hard work and dedication put him up to par with the best of them. In fact, he was consider by many the best and most powerful of the silver dragons, or at the very least up there.

This was something not everyone was happy with. Some found the idea of a freak of nature being one of their best to be offensive, and they took every chance they could to remind him of this fact as well as try to convince him to not to excel so much. These attempts only served to make Mihovil more determined, which in turn made those against him work harder to convince him and thus a cycle was born that eventually reached its boiling point when a group of them decided to locked him inside an old cavern that has been in disuse for so long that most have forgotten about its existence. He was uncertain how long he spent within that place, but any attempt he made to escape failed. That was until a figure he had never seen before appeared in front of him.

He was sure that he was hallucinating, but this figure helped him escape from his prison by showing him a secret passage that he would never have found if not for her. He made his way back to his people whom wished to know how he escaped from certain death, and Mihovil was more than happy to explain how. There were some whom might have believed he should have kept this bit of information to himself, but he had never been one to tell half a tale no matter how others might have perceive it. Some like him believed the figure that stood before him was nothing more than an hallucination brought on by being on the brink of death. They believed he had encountered the figure before, but didn't recall whom she was. Yet, there were some whom believed that the figure was the first silver dragon whom appeared before Mihovil because she had chosen him to lead their people.

Mihovil and those whom had loathed the idea of him being held in such high esteem in spite being a freak of nature found this idea to be ridiculous. However, no matter how they tried they couldn't convince those whom believed it that it was a foolish idea, and those whom supported the idea he was their chosen idea and those whom were against it begun to fight. This fighting escalated until it seemed that it was going to tear their people apart. This was not something that Mihovil wanted. He loved his people, and he did not wish for them to be destroyed. It was for this reason that he decided to leave them. He thought that if he was no longer around they could not fight over whether or not he was their chosen leader. He retreated south away from the ice and cold that had served as his home his entire life. He thought that this would keep his people from tracking him down because they wouldn't believe he would leave the scenery he loved so.

Present

It seemed to work, or perhaps they merely just had a difficult time figuring out where he had went. Either way, he wondered the land for some time until he decided to fall for a Adrealian human. The two of them lived together for a time, but he knew that it would not last. The Adrealians were known for their dislike of the supernatural and they were eventually catch on to the fact that he was such a being. Even if that wasn't the case, his beloved would wither away and die. He did not personally have the means to keep this from happening, but he knew of those whom could. However, try as he might he couldn't convince her to consider these options. She was not afraid of growing old, or dying period. It was a fact of life. What she feared was changing into something she didn't recognize, and she believed taking these options would guarantee this.

However, Mihovil would not have to worry about what to do when the Adrealians grew suspicious of his supernatural nature. His beloved decided to make a home with him on one of the tiny islands of the southern coast of Adrealia. They lived there together until she died of old age, and he continued to live there long after her death. He became something of a legend among the people of Adrealia, whom came to believe that he was one of their gods. The reason why he came to stay upon the tiny island became a matter of debate, but the one thing that was certain was it was this belief that he was one of their gods allowed him to reside there in relative peace.

He lived there for many years until one day his childhood friend showed up on the island. She had taken the mantle of leader of the silver dragons, and she wished for him to come back to serve as her personal advisor. How she came to discover where was at was anyone's guess, and at first he refused her request. He enjoyed the solitude of his personal island and he wasn't certain if he wished to deal with the politics that would be waiting for them back among his people. His friend assured him that things were different, and he admitted to missing them a great deal. It didn't matter how long he had been away he still thought of the place he grew up as home. Finally, after a few weeks of denying his friends request he returned to his people.
